Yooka Laylee Switch

Developer Playtonic Games will not be at E3 2017, but the company offered an update on Yooka-Laylee via its official website. The game will be getting its first major update soon.

The update will address player feedback and cater to the speed-run community, according to Playtonic. A number of changes will be made to the game, impacting the user interface, gameplay mechanics, controls and fixing bugs.

Notable changes include a player-controlled camera, the option to skip cutscenes and major tweaks to the controls. The patch will also add a screen that details button commands for Yooka-Laylee’s various moves. The screen will be accessible via the game’s menu.

The patch is currently in the final stages of testing and should be out sometime this month.
