Yakuza Kiwami Gets Free DLC Through September

Sega announced Yakuza Kiwami is receiving free DLC throughout the month of September after the game releases on Aug. 29.
Each week during August DLC will automatically be patched into the game as it becomes available. Players can get the content from Bob Utsunomiya, a clown that is found underneath the Tenkaichi Street Gate.
Starting the first week on Aug. 5, players can obtain the Dragon Tattoo, Kiryu’s shirtless outfit; the Toughness Emperor, Tauriner ++, and Staminan Royale stamina/health recovery items; the Modified Model Gun handgun weapon; and the Gold Plate which can be sold for cash. On Aug. 12 players can obtain the Prison Escapee, Kiryu’s prison outfit; the Extra Balance Motor, Extra Slim Tires, Boost Gears, and Speed Frame Plus Pocket Circuit parts; and the Stone of Enduring which protects against critical attacks once.
On Aug. 19 players can obtain the Black Suit, Kiryu’s black suit outfit; the Toughness Infinity, Tauriner Maximum, and Staminan Spark recovery items; Marlin Cannon, a hand-held cannon; and the Platinum Plate which can be sold for cash. On Aug. 26 players can obtain the Snake Skin Jacket, an outfit for Majima; Killer Bee, Godspeed Motor, Super Slim Tires, Godspeed Gears Plus, and New Bumper Plate Pocket Circuit parts; and the Sacrifice Stone which protects against death once.
Yakuza Kiwami is a rebuilt version of the original Yakuza game which was released on PlayStation 2. Optimized for the PlayStation 4, the game runs at 1080p/60fps and features new high definition assets and Japanese voice audio re-recorded by the series’ cast. Nearly 30 minutes of cutscenes have been added to the game to bridge the gap with Yakuza 0 and provide more depth to the original’s narrative.
Yakuza Kiwami releases on Aug. 29 for the PlayStation 4 for $29.99.
