About XCOM: Enemy Unknown
There are two main elements of this game’s gameplay. There is the tried-and-tried mission-based combat. This will be where soldiers are in a hot zone and they’ll have to kill all the aliens on the map to secure victory. The other element is more managerial in theory, where there’s a resource management aspect within the geo-scape of the game. These two elements weave wonderfully to bring unique difficulty and nuances on multiple levels.
Snippet from the Review
“XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a fun, addicting and surprisingly good game. Even if someone has never played a tactical game before, chances are they have played a game that has similar elements to the genre. As a comparison, XCOM is like a real-time strategy game, where the units are more valuable and have more weight because they are given an identity and are limited. XCOM also has some similarities to the strategy RPG genre, where each unit has a number of turns, can be customized, gain experience and level up, and has special moves and unit differentiation.”
