WWE 13 THQ Announces DLC Plans
With WWE 13 THQ is hoping to reignite the franchise with better gameplay, new features, and an impressive roster. (Check out our complete roster of who gamers can bring into the ring.) WWE 13 is set to have multiple DLC packs, three of which have already been announced. These include the Attitude Era Superstars Pack, WWE Superstars Pack, and the You’re Welcome in Five Languages Pack.
The first content pack to roll out–the Attitude Era Superstars Pack–is slated for a day-one DLC release and will include superstars from the Attitude Era such as Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty, Grand Master Sexay, Gangrel, and Val Venis. The Accelerator, which will allow players to unlock all in-game items immediately and alter their favorite WWE Superstar’s attributes, will also be available for purchase with the Attitude Era Superstars Pack.
The WWE Superstars Pack is set for a Dec. 2012 release and will include WWE Superstars Tensai, Ryback, Drew McIntyre, and Yoshi Tatsu as well as WWE Divas AJ Lee and Natalya. An alternate costume for The Undertaker will be available for free when this DLC pack is released. Finally, the Championship Title Pack, which brings gamers 10 new championships to compete in, will be made available for purchase with this DLC pack.
Pricing for the DLC packs is set at $0.99 or 80 Microsoft Points per wrestler and $1.99 or 160 Microsoft Points each for the Accelerator, Championship Title Pack, and You’re Welcome in Five Languages Pack. For those wanting to purchase all of the DLC at a reduced price, THQ announced the Fan Axxess program, which can be purchased for $19.99/1600 Microsoft Points and ultimately results in a 10 percent savings for gamers compared to purchasing all of the content packs individually. Purchasing Fan Axxess also gives gamers WWE Superstars Diamond Dallas Page and Goldust as well as an exclusive online badge.
WWE 13 is set for an Oct. 30 release date for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 game consoles.
