Mists of Pandaria is available for pre-sale right now for $39.99 and can be pre-ordered through Battle.net so users can have immediate midnight access once the 25th rolls around. World of WarCraft and all of its expansions work on the Windows and Mac platforms. There is also a Collector’s Edition available that will have bonus items inside, which will be exclusively available at retail locations. The Collector’s Edition contains all the items listed in the Digital Deluxe version (including the in-game mount and in-game pet) plus a few more goodies. You’ll receive a behind-the-scenes DVD and Blu-Ray where you will get a look from Blizzard’s point of view on how they created Pandaria that features over an hour of commentary, insider interviews and developer roundtables. Also included in the Collector’s Edition of Mists of Pandaria is a Collector’s Edition Soundtrack CD that has 20 tracks from the Mists of Pandaria game. There’s also a 208-page hardcover book showing off the artwork from the game that includes never-before-seen pieces from the expansion, including early concepts and final 3D renderings. The final item included with the Collector’s Edition is the Chen Stormstout Mouse Pad, which you can use while you play the game and makes for a nice conversation piece as well.
For the first time ever, there will be a “Digital Deluxe” version available for download from Blizzard at a cost of $59.99. Those that purchase this Deluxe version. If you purchase a standard edition or a retail copy and want to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version at any time, you can for an additional fee of $20. This version includes a full digital copy of the expansion plus exclusive in-game bonus items. You’ll receive an in-game mount known as the “Imperial Quilen” flying mount as well as an exclusive in-game pet, known as the “Lucky Quilen Cub” which will run around Azeroth at your side. You’ll also get access to StarCraft II Battle.net portraits and even get a Diablo III Banner Sigil and accent, meaning that you’ll display your status as a hero of Pandaria with markings of WoW’s Pandaren.
In World of WarCraft: Mists of Pandaria, ships from the Alliance and Horde clash once again in the long-lost continent which restarts an era of war between the two factions. There’s a new playable race, the Padaren, a new character class – the monk, and an entire new continent to explore for high level characters. The new level cap in WoW will be moved up from 85 to 90 as well as a ton of new features including challenge modes and an all-new pet battle system. The Challenge Mode offers big time rewards for mastering Mists of Pandaria’s 5-player dungeons. In addition there’s the new concept of “scenarios” which is a flexible new version of cooperative PvE.
