What’s New in NBA 2K19 MyTeam

NBA 2K19 Gameplay Trailer

With less than a month to go before the launch of NBA 2K19, we’re getting some details about all of the game’s modes from its developer.

Senior Producer Erick Boenisch detailed the latest developments in the game’s card-collecting MyTeam mode in an official blog posted on Facebook. A trailer for MyTeam mode in NBA 2K19 was also released.

Boenisch’s blog post is an extremely detailed look at the changes to MyTeam in NBA 2K19. The most important information is that the developer took user feedback to create a better card pack experience.

Packs will now make more sense. For example, a Throwback pack will include a throwback player in every pack this year. In addition, new packs, cards, Moments designs and Locker Codes will release more frequently and dynamically.

MyTeam will also include a number of new game modes, such as MyTeam Unlimited, which is a simple to understand experience that allows you to take a roster of 13 players and compete online.

Triple Threat is perhaps the most interesting of the new MyTeam modes. Available both in single-player and online, this game mode brings three-on-three basketball back to MyTeam. A ball drop before each game will determine the rewards available if you win.

There are a number of other details and updates for NBA 2K19 MyTeam mode. You can read the full developer blog here.

NBA 2K19 is set to release Sept. 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
