Watch Dogs is set to release Nov. 19 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC, Ubisoft announced. The game will also be available for next-generation consoles, including as a launch title for PlayStation 4.
Gamers in Europe will be able to purchase the game starting Nov. 22.
In addition, Ubisoft announced the collector’s editions of Watch Dogs available in the U.K. The company has yet to announce if the same limited edition versions will be available in the U.S.
The Vigilante Edition comes with the single-player Palace Pack mission, Pearce’s cap and mask and soundtrack in a special collector’s box. The Uplay Exclusive Edition, which will be available exclusively through Ubisoft’s Uplay online service, comes with all three extra single-player missions and a steelbook. The Special Edition comes with the Breakthrough Pack mission.
Watch Dogs was originally announced last year at E3 and was tentatively scheduled for a release Holiday 2013. The game puts players in the role of Aiden Pearce. The stealthy assassin must fight the big brother-like ctOS controlling all electronic aspects of the city of Chicago in the open-world action game.
Ubisoft released a new trailer for Watch Dogs to go alongside the release date announcement. The “Out of Control” trailer can be viewed below. The trailer reveals some of the reasons behind Pearce’s attack on ctOS.
