Wartune Announced by Reality Squared Games
Reality Squared Gaming announced Wartune, a next-generation web browser based game developed by 7th Road. The first server, Temple of Ibilize, has been opened to the public.
Wartune is an RPG that throws players into the role of a knight, mage, or archer in a journey to progress through a fantasy based plotline while maintaining a thriving city and completing daily quests and events.
The single player campaign sends you throughout the realm of Balenor to locate and defeat Yaros, the dark god. You will have a vast amount of dungeons to make your way through and explore along your journey. The game uses a Quick Time Event Combat System that pushes past the typical style, giving you the ability to boost your chosen skills through real-time keyboard commands.
Not only will you be able to adventure on your own through the single player campaign, you will also be able to partake in multiple types of Player-vs-Player action, including group arenas, large scale battle grounds, guild wars and much more. If that wasn’t enough, World Bosses spawn several times a day and require players to join forces to take them down, defeating one of these will give all participating players loads of gold and those at the top of the DPS chart will get additional bonuses as well.
The success of your characters both in the campaign and PvP is influenced by how well you build your city. You are pushed to learn both defensive and offensive technology in your academy as well as recruiting troops for your barracks. The way you handle your city will show in the wealth, power and strength of your character.
Wartune also gives players activities to complete on a daily basis. From dozens of quests you will gain gold, experience and loot that is very valuable. Along with farming, dungeons, PvP ladders, the ability to create a guild and the story line.
There are five main types of in game currency in Wartune. Gold is mainly earned from quests, dungeons and gold mines. Gold is the main currency and is required for upgrading buildings in your city. Kyanite is used for researching and upgrading skills at the Academy. Daru is used to upgrade your troops, making them more powerful. Vouchers are used for purchasing Runes from the shop and to speed up build times. Similar to vouchers, Balens are used to speed up construction time and can also be used to purchase special items from the shop.
As a free-to-play MMORPG that can be played from any browser, Wartune will be a game changer for browser based games.
