Wander Brings No-Combat MMO to PS4

/ Nov 19th, 2014 No Comments

Wander MMO

Wander, an MMO that focuses on exploration, will set to release on PlayStation 4 in March 2015, Sony and creator Loki Davison announced on the official PlayStation blog.

Melbourne resident Davison developed the game after noticing an absence of MMO experiences that did not focus primarily on combat and violence. Wander will not feature any combat elements.

The game will feature a sprawling open world based on Davison’s experiences in scenic real-world locations such as Central Asia, Siberia, the Arctic and the Himalayas.

Gamers will be able to play as the Oren, a walking tree, the griffin, a mythical creature with the power of flight, the azertash, a sea creature who can swim and breathe underwater, and hira. Each class has several unique forms, with different backstories and cultures.

The trailer for Wander can be viewed below.

Quick Take

Wander seems to be ditching the violence for a more relaxing setting. If the idea of exploring nature doesn’t seem all that interesting to you, you’re probably not alone, but the gorgeous setting will make for some beautiful screenshots, if nothing else.
