Uncharted 4 Release Date Announced

Sony announced the Uncharted 4 release date will be March 18, 2016 on the PlayStation 4.

When the game launches next year, players have three unique editions of of the game to choose from. Additionally, Sony revealed some of the DLC and pre-order bonuses for the game.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End special edition will be available for $79.99. This edition of the game will include a collectible steelbook, a 48-page hardcover art book by Dark Horse and Naughty Dog, a Naughty Dog sticker sheet, and Naughty Dog points which are used as in-game currency to unlock multiplayer content.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Collector’s Edition

For the ultimate collector the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Libertalia collector’s edition will be available for purchase for $119.99. It will include everything from the special edition plus a 12″ Nathan Drake statue, three multiplayer outfits (Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Heist Drake, and Desert Drake), two custom weapon skins (golden and desert), a Henry Avery sigil ball cap, and Madagascar sidekick outfits.

Players who wish to purchase the game digitally can buy the digital deluxe edition for $79.99 from the PlayStation Store. The digital version allows players an instant unlock of two multiplayer customization items, an exclusive PS4 theme, and the Uncharted 4 triple pack. The triple pack includes future access to a single player story add-on for Uncharted 4–a first for the series–along with two multiplayer packs that unlock rare multiplayer items.

Various retailers have pre-order bonuses available for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as well. Gamestop pre-orders will receive a multiplayer booster pack to unlock one-time use multiplayer boosts and a phurba dagger taunt. Amazon pre-orders will receive a snow camo weapon customization and the Desert Drake outfit for multiplayer. PlayStation Store pre-orders will receive the Uncharted 4 dynamic theme and the desert weapon customization.

Quick Take

Uncharted 4 is one of the most anticipated games for any PS4 owner. It’s arguably Sony’s biggest franchise and comes from Naughty Dog, it’s most celebrated team. Releasing in March should give the game little competition and be a good solution for players who have exhausted their holiday backlog.
