Sony announced Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at the conclusion of its E3 2014 press conference. The game is scheduled for a 2015 release, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
Uncharted 4 is the newest entry in Naughty Dog‘s acclaimed PlayStation-exclusive Uncharted series. The last entry in the series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, was released for the PS3 on Nov. 1, 2011.
Naughty Dog is targeting 60fps for the game. The developer says that Nathan Drake’s Uncharted 4 model is over double the amount of polygons used for Joel in The Last of Us on PS3. According to Naughty Dog, Drake is forced back into the world of thieves and will embark on a globe-trotting adventure, pursuing a conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Reveal Trailer
Uncharted 4 looks stunning. The amount of visual fidelity and detail Naughty Dog achieved for this short tease is incredible. Featuring Sully and Drake’s voices, the tone of the trailer is much darker than some of the adventurous tones previous entries in the series have taken. It will be exciting to see what Naughty Dog will reveal in the coming months.
