Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Ubisoft announced Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on Aug. 29.

Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot took the stage at E3 2017 to officially announce the game and reveal the first gameplay from the upcoming title.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is described as a tactical adventure game that combines Nintendo’s flagship franchise with Ubisoft’s Minions-like series. Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Yoshi will team up with their Rabbids counterparts to explore a wildly different take on the Mushroom Kingdom.

The Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is August 29.

Nintendo fans will recognize familiar landmarks, characters, and items with a Rabbids-flavored twist. Battles in the game will be turn-based and have players directing Mario and crew around the environment. Characters can sneak around cover to get the advantage on enemies, upgrade weapons, and experiment with different combinations of characters. Cover will be destructible and players can upgrade the skills of characters.

The game includes four worlds, co-op challenges with multiple difficulty levels, and amiibo support. A Collector’s Edition of the game will also be available that includes a six-inch figurine of Rabbid Mario, physical collector’s cards, and the original soundtrack. Pre-ordering the game nets a set of eight unique in-game weapons.
