Ubisoft Announces Wii U Launch Titles
Yves Guillemot, who is the Chief Executive Officer over at Ubisoft stated, “Ubisoft is a trailblazer in developing innovative, unique content for new platforms and we’re continuing that tradition with our Wii U titles.” Yves continued with “Ubisoft’s creative teams have taken advantage of the technological advances in the Wii U system to develop new gameplay concepts that will help set the new system apart from other consoles and deliver distinct, immersive gaming experiences for players.” This has been seen in some of the titles that are creating a lot of buzz at E3 like ZombiU.
ZombiU was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. This title is going to be throwing you in the middle of London where there is where a massive outbreak of a zombie plague has taken the city by storm causing thousands to turn into flesh eating zombies. ZombiU showcased some unique features at E3 such as Wii U GamePad. The GamePad is used as an intuitive survival kit and other gadgets to bring the user closer into the game, which is going to give the player a new experience not possible on other consoles to date.
When talking about innovation, Ubisoft created one of the most popular dance games ever. The Just Dance series is bringing the franchise over to the Wii U with Just Dance 4. It is going to include over 40 new tracks, all ranging from chart-topping Billboard hits to classic dance party tracks. Some artists include Rihanna, One Direction, Pink, and Flo Rida just to name a few. It will also include a new mode call Puppet Master Mode; it’s going to have 5 players which are going to be able to dance together. The one in control of the GamePad is going to be able to change the dance routine and create choreographies that the other four perform.Other titles that are coming to the Wii U are going to include Marvel Avengers, which is going to have over 20 Marvel super heroes and villains. You are going to be able to battle friends or the AI and unleash massive attacks with using the Wii U GamePad. Rabbids Land, which is another successful franchise for Ubisoft will also appear for Nintendo’s newest gaming system. This title features a theme park invasion where gamers will have to visit more than 20 attractions, which include a princess castle, tunnel of love, crazy roller coaster, and haunted house. Using the GamePad you will be moving, tilting, shouting, steering, aiming, touching, and drawing your way through this park.
Finally, also announced were tiles Rayman Legends, Sports Connection, and Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013. With all these titles coming to the Wii U, it is already looking to have a stronger launch than their previous console launch, the Wii. We will see if there are any more launch titles coming to the Wii U, as many expect Nintendo to announce a Super Mario title. We will know much more information on launch titles until later this year but in the meantime top-tier gaming companies such as Ubisoft continue to feed us great information about what they have cooking. The Wii U is only a couple months away, so get ready to wait in those lines if you going to want to get your hands on this innovative console.
