Ubisoft to Release Wii U Exclusive Rayman Legends Demo

Ubisoft announced the company is planning is to release a second Rayman Legends demo only available for Wii U.
The demo exclusive to the new Nintendo console is expected to be available soon, although no exact release date has been unveiled.
Rayman Legends was originally announced as a Wii U exclusive title to be released Feb. 26. However, Ubisoft delayed the game until September and revealed Rayman Legends will also be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The company said the decision to release on all platforms will broaden the audience for the game.
[adsense250itp]Wii U owners are not happy with the delay. The ability to play Rayman Legends, which was supposed to be an ability only Wii U owners had, helped sell the Nintendo console. On top of that, the delayed release date appears to be for no reason other than preparing for a multiplatform release. Understandably, customers feel betrayed by Ubisoft. The Wii U exclusive demo is designed as a gesture of goodwill to unhappy Wii U owners.
The first demo for Rayman Legends released in December through the Wii U eShop. Playable levels included Teensies in Trouble, Toad Story and Castle Rock. It was designed to give gamers a feel for the gameplay controls using the GamePad and only allowed users to play up to 3o times.
Rayman Legends is the direct sequel to the 2011 title Rayman Origins. It is a platformer that encourages cooperative play. Up to four players can control Rayman and his friends in drop-in/drop-out style co-op gameplay.
The game features unique elements that take advantage of the touchscreen controls on the Wii U GamePad, including the possibility to add a fifth player controlling Murfy. It is unclear how those elements will translate to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, or if they will at all.
