Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Rogue will launch Nov. 11 exclusively for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue marks the first time players will experience the Assassin’s Creed series as a Templar. Players will take on the role of Shay Patrick Cormac, who suffers betrayal at the hands of the Assassin brotherhood and turns against the Assassins.
The game will take place during the mid 18th century in North America. The story will unfold during The Seven Years War.
Players will explore locations never visited in the franchise, including the Appalachian River Valley, the North Atlantic and New York.

Ubisoft Sofia is developing the game with help from Ubisoft Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest.
Ubisoft also announced a collector’s edition of the game, which will include an art book, three lithographs, the original soundtrack and two single-player missions. It is available for pre-order now.

It has been no secret that Ubisoft was developing two Assassin’s Creed games for 2014. Assassin’s Creed Unity leaked back in March, but the title was only being developed for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. While it’s strange to wait until August to announced Rogue, Ubisoft’s willingness to release a last-gen Assassin’s Creed is encouraging.
