TurtlePop: Journey to Freedom Tuned Edition

DigiPen Game Studios recently released the Tuned Edition of its Nintendo Switch exclusive TurtlePop: Journey to Freedom. The update is free to all current players and new players get to enjoy it right away. To celebrate the update TurtlePop is 35% off on the Nintendo eShop.

Tuned Edition includes plenty of gameplay fixes and improvements to the original puzzle gameplay. The update used feedback from the TurtlePop community to fine tune the game. In addition to plenty of enhancements, the Tuned Edition features reduced difficulty in certain stages, lowered cooldown time for all items, and increased time limits in some stages.

TurtlePop: Journey to Freedom Tuned Edition sees plenty of gameplay enhancement and fixes.

For those unfamiliar, TurtlePop sees players choosing from multiple turtles: Bebo, Deephi, Slimmie, Smarts, Willis and Sparky the Turtle to solve real-time puzzles. By using each turtles’ unique abilities to solve puzzles the turtles will lead their companions to freedom. Players can also use “The Genie” a flying support turtle that can manipulate the game world to enhance the turtles abilities.

The game has more than 100 stages across 7 worlds in the game’s expansive single-player or co-op mode. TurtlePop also has local multiplayer where up to four players can battle it out in versus or co-op modes including Arena modes. Those looking for collectables can find tons of them in TurtlePop: Journey to Freedom Tuned Edition.

TurtlePop: Journey to Freedom Tuned Edition is $12.99 until July 18 on Nintendo Switch.

Our Take

It is always nice to see developers support their games past their initial release. Updates like the Tuned Edition ensure that new and old players can enjoy new content and get the best experience possible.
