The extensive sim offers everything the digital hobbyist could ask for. Train Simulator 2014 features a new, more intuitive user interface and more challenging game modes.
Gamers will be able to embark on an improved Career mode in Train Simulator 2014. The game mode will throw players into the life of a train driver and offers more challenging tasks. Players will be able to travel up to 186 mph while navigating routes up to 124 miles long. The Career mode will also chart players’ progress as train drivers work towards earning medals, rewards and achievements.
The Hamburg to Hanover route, a famous railway line in Germany, is new to Train Simulator in 2014. The route joins the extensive list of offerings from previous games that will be playable in Train Simulator 2014. Players will be able to choose from more than 100 add-on trains of varying styles to travel along their route.
The game also offers numerous customization and sharing options. Train Simulator 2014 will include rich creativity tools for customizing trains and routes. Players who create their own routes will be able to share them easily with Steam Workshop. The online hub will also allow players to download unique routes and trains created by other users.
Train Simulator 2014 also includes enhanced graphics, new camera systems and additional headlight flares that add to the game’s realism. A new user interface will allow players to efficiently drop into Quick Drive or Career game modes.
Players who already own an earlier version of Train Simulator will receive an automatic update at no charge. The update will provide gamers with the new user interface and new features added to the game with Train Simulator 2014.
Train Simulator 2014 will also release at retailers as a boxed product when it launches on Sept. 26.
