EA Sports announced Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 will feature nine of the greatest golfing legends of all time.

The best golfers, including Seve Ballesteros, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Sam Snead, Lee Trevino and Tiger Woods, will face off against players in the new Legends of the Majors game mode.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 marks the first time in franchise history gamers will be able to participate in all four majors. Players can go for the Grand Slam by winning the Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship.

[adsense250itp]The latest EA Sports pro golfing sim includes the most courses ever on a disc. A total of 20 unique courses are digitally recreated, including Augusta National Golf Club, the Old Course at St Andrews, Pinehurst No. 2 Restored and The Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. This year’s game features the most courses ever offered on disc – a total of 20 courses. The game also has a roster of more than 35 playable golfers from the PGA Tour and LPGA.

This year contains a lot of firsts for the Tiger Woods franchise. Created female players can compete on the LPGA Tour and five playable LPGA golfers, including 2012 Rolex Player of the Year Stacy Lewis, are featured in the game. Players will also be able to hit the links at night for the first time with an illuminated ball. New time-of-day settings mean gamers will face varying weather conditions.

As always, customization is a major aspect of the game. Numerous unique swing styles will be available along with the ability to choose what type of golfer to create. Advanced shot shaping, enhanced strike meter and ball physics have all been improved to provide a more realistic experience. Players can also customize their golfer’s look with classic attire.

Country Clubs return with the ability to invite up to 100 members, chat online, hold tournaments and track stats. Improved online play allows up to 24 competitors at a time with a new dynamic stat tracking system feeding live data from the entire tournament field in a realistic, competitive event.

Historic golfers will be playable in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 launches on March 26 for Xbox 360 with Kinect support and PlayStation 3 with support for PlayStation Move for $59.99. As is par for the course, EA Sports Season Ticket subscribers will get full digital access to the game three days before retail launch.

Pre-order details for the game were revealed on the game’s official website. Fans who pre-order from GameStop will receive a free download of U.S. Open host course, Pinehurst No. 2. Power-up Rewards subscribers will also get a set of historic golf clubs with advanced boosts available in Legends of the Majors mode. Pre-orders from Amazon will receive a free download of the Black Course at Bethpage State Park.

Best Buy customers who pre-order Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 will get an exclusive 1986 Jack Nicklaus character. Pre-orders from Target include playable characters of the NBA’s Kevin Love and tennis great Andy Roddick. Walmart customers will get the Straits Course at Whistling Straits and Origin pre-orders will come with a set of exclusive historic golf clubs.
