Thumper Release Date, Collector’s Edition Announced

/ Jun 29th, 2016 No Comments

Thumper

Drool announced its upcoming rhythm violence game Thumper will release on Oct. 13 for PS4, PSVR, and Steam.

The game will release for $19.99 as a part of the debut lineup for PSVR, Sony’s virtual reality headset.

Thumper has nine playable levels that will test players’ reflexes as they dodge obstacles and time beats. Brian Gibson – co-founder of Drool along with Mark Flury – is a member of the band Lightning Bolt and designed the music for the game. Gibson and Flury first developed the mechanics and levels for the game, with Gibson later crafting the sound to tailor it to gameplay.

E3 2016 gave us an opportunity to play Thumper in 2D and on PSVR. The game is intense and fun either way but the virtual reality experience adds something special to Thumper as a whole.
