The Wolf Among Us

Episode 2 of Telltale Games’ The Wolf Among Us is available today for purchase or download. “Smoke & Mirrors” introduces more Fables as Bigby continues his murder investigation.

“Smoke & Mirrors” will be available for PC, Mac and PlayStation 3 users today, while Xbox 360 users will be able to purchase or download the episode on Wednesday. iOS users will be able to play the episode later this week.

Episode 2 is available for individual purchase at a price of $4.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Netowrk or as part of the Season Pass. “Smoke & Mirrors” is only available to PC and Mac users through a Season Pass while iOS users can download the season multi-pack through the App Store or purchase it in-app for $4.99.

The Wolf Among Us

Oh man, this jerk is here now. This is not going to go well.

The episode picks up after the shocking and jaw dropping cliff hanger of Episode 1, “Faith”. Check out Gaming Illustrated’s review of “Faith” here.

Now with two deaths on his hands, Bigby has no more time to be delicate as the episode trailer hints at. Bigby will have to find leads soon because the Fable community is spiraling into panic and his reputation as sheriff seems to be in peril. “Smoke & Mirrors” brings popular Fables Blue Beard and Jack of Fables into The Wolf Among Us. Their involvement can only mean that Bigby’s job will be even tougher now.

The trailer for the “Smoke and Mirrors” can be seen below.

Quick Take

The Wolf Among Us had an incredible first episode that expertly introduced a complex world and various interpersonal dynamics that dictate it. “Faith” had Telltale’s signature flair for strong dialogue and creating mature character relationships. It has been a long wait for episode 2, especially with the bomb dropped at the end of “Faith.” But if the trailer for episode 2 is any indication, it will be well worth the wait.
