Both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions of The Last of Us are receiving two new free maps for the game’s Factions multiplayer mode, developer Naughty Dog announced.
[adsense250itp]In a post on the company’s official blog, Naughty Dog said the maps will be distributed at no charge in appreciation for players who have been experiencing matchmaking issues while trying to play multiplayer.
While the maps are a way to appease fans, the developer is still working on a patch to fix the issues plauging multiplayer. Naughty Dog said there is currently no estimate for when the patch will release, but it is expected to take “weeks, rather than months.”
According to Naughty Dog, the best thing to do if you find yourself stuck in matchmaking is to exit matchmaking and try to “Find Match” again.
Quick Take
Issues with multiplayer are annoying for a game that has been out for so long. However, it is refreshing for a developer to acknowledge the problems and release free content to appease gamers.
