The Walking Dead: Season Two premieres later this year. It will consist of five episodes available for digital download. Gamers can purchase a Season Pass for all five episodes or buy them separately as they release. The season will run through 2013 and conclude in 2014. PC and Mac gamers can save 10% on The Walking Dead: Season Two when they pre-order the season pass from the Telltale Online Store or Steam.

[adsense250itp]The developer teased a reveal about the Second Season of The Walking Dead a few days ago. The reveal shed light on some minor story details for the Second Season. The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine from Season One after the harrowing conclusion of that Season. Players take control of Clementine in The Walking Dead: Season Two. Alone in a harsh world full of the undead, Clementine must survive against the overwhelming odds with only her wits to save her. As always with The Walking Dead, Clementine has to contend with both the dead and the living as she makes decisions that will determine her survival.

Keep that hair short…

At the beginning of Season One, Lee finds Clementine alone hiding in a tree house. Clearing out the walkers roaming around her house, Lee rescues Clementine. After that, the two traveled together to find some place safe away from the walkers and to find Clementine’s parents. Along the way, the two learned that the dead were not their only enemy as they encountered dangerous survivors while they looked for sanctuary.

To help those who missed out on the first season, Telltale Games also announced The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – Game of the Year Edition. The Game of the Year version of Season One will hit retailers in November for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. This retail edition will include the original five episodes plus the DLC episode, ‘400 Days’. The disc will retail for $29.99.

This guy better not own a farm.

The Walking Dead: Season Two currently has no concrete premiere date outside of a 2013 time frame, but stay tuned to Gaming Illustrated for more news.

Our Take: Telltale Games are telling some of the best narrative stories in video games currently. The Walking Dead: Season One was amazing full of some incredible moving and poignant moments. The teaser trailer for Season Two is light on new information but the tone and the small sliver of new content is incredibly telling for what is in store for the new season. Telltale is continuing their fine trend of meaningful narrative choices in The Wolf Among Us which is shaping up to be better than The Walking Dead: Season One. So, expectations for The Walking Dead: Season Two are reasonably high. Hopefully shifting the perspective to Clementine leads to some new, exciting and different narrative directions than Season One. Regardless, two Telltale Games running from 2013 to 2014 equals two big wins for everyone.
