Tekken Revolution 1.4 Patch Hits Europe

Tekken Revolution - Eliza

Namco Bandai released a new patch for European editions of the free-to-play fighter Tekken Revolution for Playstation 3. The patch is now downloadable for owners already possessing a copy of the game.

The highlight of the new patch is the inclusion of Eliza, a brand-new fighter to the franchise. A poll was held to decide one of ten possible fighters to appear in the game. The bulk of them, which until now included Eliza, never made it past the concept phase. Eliza was chosen as the winner of the poll following a contest at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

Eliza is a vampire and, according to information provided by Namco Bandai, is over 1,000 years old. Due to an inability to control her sleep, Eliza fell into a 700-year slumber only just waking up recently to end up in the modern-day world of Tekken.

Besides being the first vampire featured in the Tekken series, Eliza is the first fighter to use projectile attacks that supplement her quick attacks. Due to her tendency fall asleep, there is a downside. Eliza will sometimes fall asleep during battle. There’s silver lining to this because she regains lost health as long as she sleeps.

In order to play as Eliza, players must collect Blood Seals after battles. Getting enough will eventually unlock the sleepy vampire seductress. If more Blood Seals are collected after she is unlocked other bonus content can be earned.

Supplementing the addition of Eliza, the patch adds premium effects for her and two other fighters: Christie Monteiro and Lee Chaolan. There are also two new costume sets for Robert “Bob” Richards and Jaycee.

These updates for the North American version of the game are still forthcoming.
