Team Fortress 2 Characters Crash into Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
The PC version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be getting exclusive characters, including some familiar faces from Team Fortress 2.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has been out for several months for consoles but the PC launch is not set until Jan. 31.
Sega confirmed on the official company blog Sonic and the gang will be joined by Pyro, Heavy and the Spy from Team Fortress 2. In addition to those exclusive playable characters, the PC version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will include Shogun from the Total War series and Manager Man from the highly successful Football Manager football simulation franchise for PC.
The game is a cart racer developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sega as a sequel to the 2010 hit, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. The roster of playable characters is made up of Sega stars including Sonic, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball and Ulala from Space Channel 5. Unlike most cart racing games, vehicles can transform at certain times during a race. Players must alternate between a car, boat and airplane in order to beat opposing racers to the finish line.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed originally hit consoles in November with a PlayStation Vita release earlier this month. It also has yet to race onto Nintendo 3DS, which is scheduled to release in February, and iOS, which does not have a firm release date. It will be interesting to see if those versions will also be getting exclusive characters.
