Valve and SteelSeries Unveil Dota 2 Headset and Mousepads

/ Aug 7th, 2013 No Comments

[adsense250itp]The SteelSeries Siberia v2 Illuminated Gaming Headset Dota 2 Special Edition will be available later this summer for $119.99, SteelSeries and Dota 2 developer Valve announced.

The gaming headset for PC was designed with comfort in mind but still features optimal sound and premium features. It is equipped with bright, red LED lights on the earcups that shine through the outer mesh. The lights have six settings including Active Mode, which automatically responds to in-game sound effects, music and voice. The illumination effects can be customized by each user through the SteelSeries Engine.

Included with the headset is a microphone with an active noise cancelling system. The mic can retract into the left earcup when not in use. In-line volume and mute controls can be connected to the headset using a durable USB cord.

The special edition Siberia v2 headset also offers an exclusive in-game item for Dota 2. The Scythe of Vyse for Nature’s Prophet will be available for use withing the game to anyone who purchases the headset.

SteelSeries also announced two separate special edition mousepads featuring characters from the game will be available as part of the line of Dota 2 products. The SteelSeries QcK+ Dota 2 Edition Mousepads will cost $9.99 each.

Made with a high-quality cloth material and featuring an optimized texture, the SteelSeries mousepads promise smooth operation and a base that fails to move even as the mouse glides across it. The large size and non-slippery base guarantee players will have a solid, consistent surface while playing for hours.

The SteelSeries QcK+ Dota 2 Edition Mousepad will come in either the Tiny Edition or the Vengeful Spirit Edition.

While the headset and mousepads are not expected to release until later this summer, SteelSeries is giving attendees of The International 3 in Seattle the first chance at getting their hands on any SteelSeries Siberia v2 Dota 2 edition products.
