SteelSeries announced an all-new surface at gamescom. The DeX Mousepad gives gamers a mousepad with faster glide and lower friction.
The DeX Mousepad is made of a low friction polymer material. The mousepad’s surface features a 3D optical pattern designed to provide better tracking accuracy for all applications. It offers a highly responsive, fast glide for mouse movements.

The SteelSeries DeX also features a heavy silicone base to keep the pad in place. SteelSeries touts the DeX as the most durable mousepad on the market thanks to its heat-sealed edge that helps prevent fraying.
“…the DeX could very well be the last surface they will ever need to buy with its incredible durability,” said Soelberg.
Releasing in the fall, the DeX Mousepad is available for pre-order. It will retail for $39.99 or €39.99.
SteelSeries continues to create products catered to gamers that help improve their performance. If the DeX can provide the durability and performance SteelSeries promises then it could be the only mousepad any gamer will ever need.
