SteelSeries Announces New Siberia Lineup

/ Sep 30th, 2014 No Comments

SteelSeries announced an all new Siberia headset family, with refreshed versions of old favorites and brand new models alike. With some of the best headsets on the market, these refreshes smooth out what little shortcomings there were, and add a new entry level headset to bring new members to the SteelSeries family.

SteelSeries Siberia v3 – $99.99
The most popular headset gets improvements to audio drivers to enhance the entire audio soundscape along with the noise-reducing memory foam cushions found in the Siberia Elites for added comfort and audio isolation. A single-plug cable with dual-jack extension allows for compatibility with a multitude of devices.

SteelSeries Siberia v3 Prism – $139.99
A more customizable version of the v3 adds integration with the SteelSeries Engine to tweak audio profile settings, microphone sound compression and noise suppression, custom EQ settings, and ColorShift illumination effects.

ColorShift adds a bit of color, even if you can't see it.

SteelSeries Elite Prism – $199.99
One of the greatest headsets of all time gets an improved, slimmer microphone and reworked sound card to increase clarity of both input and output sound. Ear cushions have improved comfort for longer sessions.

SteelSeries RAW Prism – $59.99
The only new product to the lineup brings new accessibility with a budget price. The headset features lightweight design paired with the comfort for which the Siberia lineup is known. Audio can be customized through the SteelSeries Engine software as well as the illuminated ring on each earcup with up to 16.8 million colors. A built in microphone and mute button reside in the left earcup. USB connection powers the headset, making it compatible with PC, Mac, PS4 and more.

Quick Take

SteelSeries makes some of the best gaming peripherals on the market, especially when it comes to headsets. With small, incremental improvements to the entire lineup, it not only shows that SteelSeries is willing to fix the small things, but also that it keeps in touch with feedback received from its customer base. With the new RAW Prism headset bringing in those looking for a budget headset, the SteelSeries family should continue to grow and improve.
