Star Wars: The Old Republic, an MMORPG by BioWare and EA, announced they are taking pre-orders now which will allow those that make the pre-order purchase early access to the game. The email went out to those on the subscription list early in the morning on July 23rd with the offer. The order that the pre-order codes are purchased will be the same order in which gamers will gain early access to The Old Republic before the game’s official release. The game, however, has still not seen an official release date set.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a new MMORPG being developed by BioWare and EA. We recently went through a play-test at E3 2011 and had a very positive experience running through a Sith mission on Tattooine. The game takes place thousands of years before the saga of Darth Vader and features robust graphics, an epic storyline, gripping RPG decision-making elements, and much more. We even conducted an in-depth interview of SWTOR’s Game Director to talk about the game, which has plenty of insight into the game.
