Watch the Splatoon 2 and Arms Nintendo Direct Live

/ Apr 12th, 2017 No Comments

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is holding a Nintendo Direct event on April 12 focused on the upcoming games Arms and Splatoon 2.

There is no release date announced for either of these games, so expect a ton of new information to come out of the live Nintendo Direct presentation. It is set to begin at 3 p.m. PT and can be viewed live below.

Splatoon 2 is the follow up to the 2015 original IP. The fresh take on the shooter genre proved to be extremely popular on the Wii U.

The Direct presentation will likely show how Splatoon 2 aims to take advantage of the Switch’s unique hardware. We already got a glimpse of this during the Splatoon 2 Test Fire, which we wrote about here.

Arms is a new IP making its debut on the Nintendo Switch. The fighting game features unique fighters that change the way people play the game. Characters have Inspector Gadget like extendable arms, hence the name of the game. The game uses the Joy-Con’s motion control functionality during gameplay.

Both games are expected to launch on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2017.
