Insomniac Announces Spider-Man PS4

Sony revealed Spider-Man PS4 at the PlayStation press conference during E3 2016. The first trailer for the game can be viewed below.
Insomniac Games is developing the game and it will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4. Insomniac previously worked on the PlayStation 3-exclusive Resistance franchise. Recently, Insomniac developed Sunset Overdrive for Xbox One. The studio is also working on virtual reality games, and just released Edge of Nowhere for the Oculus Rift.
Spider-Man PS4 will be the first IP the studio is working on that didn’t originate in-house.
“Spider-Man is one of the most iconic and well-known characters in the world, and we’re thrilled to be given the responsibility to create a brand-new, authentic Spider-man story,” Insomniac community manager Bryan Intihar said.
“Nope, this isn’t the same Spider-Man you’ve met before, nor is our game based on the upcoming movie,” Intihar continued. “This is a more seasoned Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his absurdly chaotic personal life and career. All while nine million New Yorkers depend on him for their safety… no pressure indeed.”
