South Park Season 3 (DVD)

The third season of South Park is captured on DVD in a new format and distributed through a new studio (Paramount). With Paramount's expertise developing quality DVDs for television shows, this 3rd season of South Park offers some good extras and great episodes.
Here are the extras:
* 17 episodes with mini-commentaries from creators Tery Parker and Matt Stone
So as you can see the extras aren't tremendous, but much better than before where all Parker and Stone did was do some semi-funny introductions to episodes. This time around, you get the commentary for the episodes that we all wanted all along.
South Park has dated itself to a degree. What was so hot and so edgy has lost some of its luster. Nevertheless, this third season collection on DVD is great, as the episodes were undoubtedly hilarious and some of the best from the memories of South Park fans.
The extras on the DVD set are minimal, but good as far as getting the inside scoop from Parker and Stone regarding the various episodes. The Audio and Video quality of the DVDs are pretty good – albeit the "quality" of South Park animation aside – is much richer and deeper than watching it on Comedy Central.
AUDIO & VIDEO QUALITY
Overall, this third season set of South Park is a good release, has some very entertaining and funny episodes. For the South Park fan, this is a must buy, and for the casual fan of raunchy comedy, you'll want to give this set at the very least a rent.
