Sony’s Spring Fever 2014 Sale Brings Strong Indie Lineup

Sony revealed the lineup of new games and discounts that are a part of their annual Spring Fever sale.
Starting today, Spring Fever 2014 brings new indie games to PlayStation users and offers sales on popular franchises. PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscribers receive additional discounts off the sale price. The Spring Fever sale ends on March 31.
Awesomenauts Assemble and Master Reboot are the two new games arriving for the first week of the sale. Awesomenauts Assemble brings the popular 2D MOBA from Ronimo Games to the PS4. Players will face off against online opponents in 3-on-3 battles using local splitscreen, online or solo play. This PS4 version introduces seven new characters, new skins, improved controls, a new map and more. The game is available for $9.99 with a PS Plus Launch Week price of $7.99 through March 10.
Master Reboot is a first person adventure game for the PS3. Players explore the world of Sound Cloud to discover the secret behind its creation and who their character is. Psychological horror is used in many ways to show a unique interpretation of life after death. Master Reboot is available for $14.99 with a PS Plus Launch Week price of $11.99. The Need for Speed franchise sees a discount during the first week of Spring Fever. Titles such as Need for Speed Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit receive a discount of 50 percent or more.
Towerfall Ascension and Vessel arrive on March 11 and are discounted through March 17. Towerfall Ascension is a 4-player archery combat platformer where players engage in fast-paced battles with each other. Ascension lets PS4 players in on the action with 50 new Versus arenas, new powerups, new enemies and a Quest mode that can be taken on in solo or with a friend in co-op. The game is available for $14.99 or $11.99 during the PS Plus Launch Week discount.
Vessel makes its console-exclusive debut on the PS3. Liquid and physics are at the core of Vessel’s gameplay. A unique liquid called Fluros is capable of taking on many different shapes and properties but is also creating chaos. As inventor Arkwright, the player will manipulate the Fluros substance to solve puzzles and traverse the environment in inventive ways. Vessel is available for $9.99 or $7.99 during the PS Plus Launch Week discount. The Call of Duty franchise will also be seeing heavy discounts during this week of Spring Fever. Both Black Ops titles and all three Modern Warfare titles plus various DLC will receive sale prices.
[adsense250itp]March 18 introduces SteamWorld Dig to the PS4 and PS Vita and Luftrausers to the PS3 and Vita. In SteamWorld Dig, players mine the earth for riches hidden beneath the soil. Gems and minerals found through digging can be sold on the surface for equipment upgrades. Those upgrades will come in handy as both enemies and soil get tougher further underground. SteamWorld Dig is available for $9.99 or $7.99 during the PS Plus Launch Week discount which ends on March 26. Luftrausers is an intense aerial combat game where matches are quick and deadly. Players face an overwhelming number of enemies and are guaranteed to die often. However, new plane parts are unlocked to help survive the onslaught for longer periods of time. Luftrausers is available for $9.99 or $7.99 during the PS Plus Launch Week discount. Grand Theft Auto fans will be treated to several discounts across multiple titles during this week. From the recent GTA 5 to older titles such as San Andreas and Vice City, over ten titles are discounted.
The final week of Spring Fever 2014 will bring the indie masterpiece Fez to Sony systems. Available for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, Fez can be purchased on March 25 for $12.99 or for $9.99 with the PS Plus Launch Week price. The 2D puzzle platformer will take advantage of Cross-Buy, so purchasing one version will give access across all three systems. Entries in the Bioshock franchise will also get discounts during this week. Bioshock 1 and 2 along with DLC for Bioshock Infinite are reduced up 50 percent off.
