The launch of the PlayStation 4 is just a week away and many gamers aren’t just counting the days but the hours. Sony had previously announced what players could expect when opening up their brand-new PS4 box for the first time. But today a post on the PlayStation Blog revealed a few additional bonuses that will certainly give players an advantage on day one.
Packed in every PS4 box is a special promotional voucher that includes a 30-day free PlayStation Plus membership trial, a 30-day free Music Unlimited service trial, and a $10 Sony Entertainment Network wallet credit for use in the PlayStation Store. These deals are available to US and Canadian gamers but only for a limited time.
[adsense250itp]With these three promotions, new owners of a PS4 will be able to experience a wide variety of content spread across Sony’s PlayStation Network. A large benefit of having a 30-day trial of PlayStation Plus is that players won’t miss out on the several benefits of the service. PS Plus will give gamers access to the Instant Game Collection which will include Resogun and Contrast for free in November. A PS Plus membership will also allow PS4 players access to online multiplayer in games, discounts across the PlayStation Store, online game saves and more. Additionally, the membership will extend to the PS3 and PS Vita as well.
Music Unlimited is an online service that allows subscribers to stream millions of songs to several devices. With a Premium Plan on Music Unlimited, users will be able to listen to music while gaming on the PS4 and Vita as well as accessing the library from phones and PC.
The $10 credit can be used for games, movies, and TV shows that are available on the PlayStation Store. The credit will also be useful to players interested in trading up from a PS3 version of a game to the PS4 version. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Battlefield 4 can be purchased for $10 digitally on the PSN if players own the current gen versions.
The PlayStation 4 will launch on Nov. 15 in North America with a European launch of Nov. 29.
