Ubisoft announced an online open-world pirate game Skull & Bones during its E3 press conference. In development by Ubisoft Singapore, Skull & Bones is a pirating game set in an always online, share open ocean that will evolve as players make their mark in it.
According to Ubisoft, Skull & Bones takes place in the Indian Ocean during the “Golden Age of Piracy.” Players will create their own pirate gang or join another then take on rival pirates and treacherous winds.
Pirate gangs will fight for loot and to see who can become the most treacherous pirate in the ocean.
The full gameplay trailer for the game, which was originally showed during the Ubisoft E3 press event, can be viewed below.
The gameplay shown in the trailer showcases a five-on-five Loot Hunt, one of the game’s PvP modes. The object of this event is to earn more loot than the opposing pirates. However, not only will you have to deal with other pirates, you will also face pirate hunters who patrol the merchant area.
Skull & Bones will have multiple forms of PvP and PvE combat, as well as heavy ship customization.
The game is expected to be available in fall 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Ubisoft is expected to conduct several beta sessions for players to test out the open waters of Skull & Bones. Interested parties can sign up for a chance to be included in the beta via the official Skull & Bones site.
