Crowdfunding Campaign Looks to Revive Shaq Fu

Developer Big Deez Productions announced the start of a crowdfuding campaign for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn.
Hosted on Indiegogo, the campaign seeks to finally bring justice to the Shaq Fu name following the bad 1994 title Shaq Fu. Organizers are aiming to raise $450,000 to launch the game for PC. If the campaign is able to raise $1.6 million, Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
While the original Shaq Fu was a 2D fighter, the reboot will be a beat-em-up that developers say they will not “FU up” this time. Players will learn moves and battle techniques while fighting their way through levels.
Big Deez Productions is made up of veteran developers who have collectively worked on franchises including Halo, Max Payne and Street Fighter developers.
Shaquille O’Neal is involved with the making of the game and many of the perks for donating feature Shaq memorabilia or meet-ups. For $15, players will get a copy of the game at half of the $30 retail price. The ultimate $35,000 perk includes a behind-the-scenes trip to hang out with Shaq at the TNT studios.
A teaser trailer for the game was released alongside the announcement. It can be viewed below.
