Xbox Game Drive SSD

Seagate, which has partnered with Microsoft to create officially licensed external hard drives for Xbox One, has announced its latest Game Drive for Xbox>. The 512 GB Seagate Game Drive for Xbox SSD will be available in November for $199.99, the company announced in a press release.

The SSD joins a line of HDD Seagate Game Drives that include 2 TB and 4 TB models.

Seagate’s newest Game Drive has enough storage for about 15 games, a huge boost to the original Xbox One’s internal hard drive. The extra-thin SSD drive also has a sleek look that includes an aluminum enclosure and the official Xbox logo.

Aside from offering additional storage, games stored on the drive boot and load faster than those stored on the console’s internal hard drive.

The drive easily connects to the Xbox One using a USB cable. No separate power is required.

The Seagate Game Drive for Xbox SSD will be available at Amazon, GameStop and other retailers.
