Rockstar Games is rewarding loyal Grand Theft Auto 5 players who purchase the game again on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with exclusive bonus content.
Throughout the sprawling world of Los Santos players will find new events to take part in. After completing these challenges new vehicles will be unlocked. The nearly indestructible Imponte Duke O’Death and the Dodo seaplane are a sample of what players can unlock. The Cheval Marshall monster truck and blimp are also included in the roster of new vehicles.
A Murder Mystery is waiting to be solved when players take control of Michael. While following a trail of clues, players will put together the pieces and unlock two noir style filters. This filter will give story mode gameplay and Snapmatic photos a gritty, old school edge.
Two new weapons can be used to tackle any kind of problem Los Santos might throw at Michael, Trevor and Franklin. The Rail Gun is a high-powered experimental piece of military technology and even features its own set of shooting range challenges at Ammu-Nation. The Hatchet is a melee weapon that will let players slash through anyone and everything.
[adsense250itp]Blaine County and Los Santos are getting new species of animals. Offered by the Los Santos Tourist Board, wildlife photography challenges will be the perfect way to document these new inhabitants. As Franklin, players can unlock the Kraken Sub by cataloging them all.
Stock car races are being introduced as a way to earn unique muscle cars that are decorated with companies from the game. A street artist is on the loose and tagging Los Santos with monkey art. Photographing all of these pieces of art will unlock monkey outfits for all players and a Go Go Monkey Blista for returning players.
Grand Theft Auto 5 releases for PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 18 and PC on Jan. 27.
Quick Take
It’s great that Rockstar is providing some bonuses for players who want to make a new-gen trip to the exciting world of Los Santos. While the game was impressive on PS3 and Xbox 360, the new consoles should expand the vision even more. Still, there’s likely plenty of players wondering if heists will ever make their way to GTA Online.
