Hamburg-based gaming peripheral manufacturer ROCCAT is adding to their impressive collection of gaming peripherals with their newest line of high performance mice. ROCCAT has unveiled two more additions to their highly regarded Kone series. The Kone XTD Max Customization and Kone Pure Max Performance gaming mice go along with a new creation called the Lua Tri-Button mouse.
ROCCAT has decidedly stuck with the original design of the Kone[+], making the appropriate alterations required to push the XTD and Pure above and beyond the capabilities of their predecessors. Both mice feature a greatly improved 8200 DPI Pro Aim R3 laser sensor and a 32 bit Turbo Core 2.2MHz ARM MCU processor, as well as improved ergonomic aspects and a new scroll wheel that is “built to last and engineered to own.” The XTD has a stronger focus on digital performance while the Pure has been scaled down to 91% of the size of the Kone[+] for a much sleeker look and feel.[adsense250itp]
Both mice have also been endowed with a fully customizable lighting system to appeal to any variety of gaming mood. The Kone XTD features shimmering LED light trails on either side, while the Pure showcases a large illuminated ROCCAT logo on the back. Both can be set to a wide variety of colors and visual effects such as breathing or color rotations.
The biggest surprise comes in the form of the newly created Lua. Made to appeal to a larger audience of PC gamers, the Lua features a new take on the three button, V-shaped style. It has been slimmed down to fit hands of all shapes and sizes and is easier to adjust to than most gaming mice. The Lua features an adjustable Pro-Optic sensor as well as no-sweat side grips, a soft touch surface and an illuminated ROCCAT logo as the cherry on top. ROCCAT describes the Lua as ideal for gamers who want an entry level gaming mouse but do not want to compromise performance.
ROCCAT’s latest line of gaming mice is built with state of the art materials that are made to last and feature ROCCAT Click Master switch tech, powered by Omron, to ensure quality precision and long lasting performance.
No exact release date has been announced but the Kone XTD, Kone Pure and Lua will be available in late October/early November and will retail for around $120 for the Kone XTD, $90 for the Kone Pure and $40 for the Lua.
