Risen 3: Titan Lords Announced

Developer Piranha Bytes, made famous by popular franchises Gothic and Risen, announced via publisher Deep Silver they are set to return to the RPG genre with Risen 3: Titan Lords.

The game promises to pull players into an RPG world “full of rugged charm where every decision changes the course of the story and your fate.” It was announced that Risen 3: Titan Lords will release in August 2014 for PC and consoles. According to the game’s website, it will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is pending a rating by the ESRB.

“Like a carpenter with a hand-crafted piece of furniture, we put together the story, the characters and the landscape – making it all fit together so that the player has the possibility to discover an entire universe,” Bjoern Pankratz, Project Lead at Piranha Bytes, said. “Exploration is the key to our game.”

While not much is known about Risen 3: Titan Lords, Deep Silver is promising that Piranha Bytes will deliver an “enticingly lush and vivid world” and considers this studio as the leading European RPG developer. Risen 3: Titan Lords also “promises to be diverse, authentic and full of life, providing the player with an authentic, classic RPG experience.”

A set of screenshots were released to the press and are posted below for comments.
