Remember Me will release on June 4 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC, Capcom announced.
The sci-fi action game developed by French studio Dontnod Entertainment is scheduled to hit Europe on June 7.
Remember Me is set in a dystopian version of Paris in 2084. A big brother type of corporation called Memoreyes set up in the city specializes in manipulating memories.
[adsense250itp]Players take on the role of Nilin, a memory hunter formerly employed by Memoreyes. She has been expertly trained in breaking into people’s minds and erasing their memories. When Memoreyes steals her memories, Nilin must fight to get them back.
In addition to her memory stealing abilities, Nilin is a martial arts expert. The game uses a melee combat system similar to Assassin’s Creed and Batman: Arkham City. Gamers will be able to string together massive combos to take down waves of enemies. Nilin also can use her ability to alter an opponent’s memories both in and outside of combat.
Capcom is hoping for big things from Remember Me and already has plans to extend the franchise into the next generation of consoles. Although Remember Me is not expected to be available on PlayStation 4 or the next Xbox, Capcom hopes to continue the franchise with future next-gen titles.
A new trailer for Remember Me was released by Capcom to highlight the release date. The trailer gives players background on the game’s story. The Remember Me release date trailer can be viewed below.
