Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Announced, Not Spring 2018

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release Oct. 26, Rockstar Games announced in a post on the company’s official site.
The game was initially set to release in fall 2017, but was pushed back to spring 2018 by Rockstar. Instead, the game will not be dropping on its target release window.
“We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish,” the statement on Rockstar’s website reads.
“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it.”
Rockstar is notorious for delaying its planned launch windows, so they should always be taken with a grain of salt when they are announced. Hopefully, Red Dead Redemption 2’s release date is now set in stone. Pre-orders are available now.
Rockstar released several new screenshots from the game in its post. Some are stills from the latest trailer, but all show an impressive looking game. You can see all the screenshots below.
