The revival of the classic baseball sim is also expected to release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, the two next-gen consoles were absent from the report by Rovell.
RBI Baseball 14, which is being developed by MLB Advanced Media, was originally announced in January. The company handles MLB’s interactive entertainment division, which includes MLB.TV and officially licensed mobile games.
No further details regarding the game have been released and it is not known if RBI Baseball 14 will be a realistic sim or an arcade-style button masher.
Namco originally developed RBI Baseball, which debuted in the U.S. in 1988. The franchise spawned several sequels, culminating with the simultaneous release of RBI Baseball 95 for the 32X and Super RBI Baseball for SNES in 1995.
