Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

Razer BlackWidow Tournament

Good news for fans of mechanical keyboards. Razer, the leader in high-performance gaming hardware, has unveiled the latest generation of the much loved BlackWidow series. The new line includes improved versions of two models of the previous critically acclaimed editions and a whole new model as well.

The Razer BlackWidow 2013 is first in line with upgrades such as the heightened anti-ghosting which supports up to 10 simultaneous key presses whilst in game mode and an anti-fingerprint matte black finish on its surface. Similarly, the BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 also holds the same improved anti-ghosting supporting 10 key presses in gaming mode. It also comes with a backlight to guarantee key visibility no matter how dark your room is.

The all new addition to the series is the BlackWidow Tournament Edition. The tenkeyless is simple and elegant keyboard is stripped of the numpad, making it portable for tournaments or LAN parties and perfect for those with a small amount of desk space.

To add to the already impressive updates, Razer has included compatibility with their Synapse 2.0 cloud system, which allows users to synchronize their settings and use them wherever with a simple log in.

All three keyboards will come in both a standard and a stealth version. Stealth models feature a brown mechanical switch for superior tactility and a faster response that only requires a 45 g force and a reduced actuation of 2mm. Which means it will require less force to press the keys and the keys will travel less distance down, making reactions faster.

Both the BlackWidow and the BlackWidow Ultimate come with the following features:

  • Full mechanical keys with 50 g actuation force
  • 1.000 Hz Ultrapolling
  • Fully programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording
  • 10 key anti-ghosting
  • Razer Synapse 2.0 enabled
  • Individually backlit keys (BlackWidow Ultimate only)
  • Gaming mode option
  • 5 additional dedicated macro keys
  • Audio-out/mic-in jacks
  • USB pass-through
  • Braided fiber cable
  • Approximate Size: 475 mm (Width) x 171 mm (Height) x 20 mm (Depth)
  • Approximate Weight: 1.500 g

Tournament edition:

  • Full mechanical keys with 50 g actuation force
  • 1.000 Hz Ultrapolling
  • Programmable keys with on the fly macro recording
  • Gaming Mode option for deactivation of the Windows key
  • 20 customizable software profiles with on the fly switching
