Quantum Break Releasing in 2015, Skipping E3 For Gamescom

/ May 30th, 2014 No Comments

Quantum Break

Remedy Entertainment announced the Xbox One-exclusive Quantum Break will release in 2015. The studio said gameplay will debut for the first time at Gamescom in August.

[adsense250itp]Quantum Break debuted last year at Microsoft’s Xbox One reveal. Microsoft said the game would also be supplemented by a live-action television show.

The game follows Jack Joyce as he fights to prevent the end of time. Quantum Break looks to follow in the vein of Remedy’s previous titles Max Payne and Alan Wake.

Creative Director Sam Lake explained in a video that the game focuses on heroes while the television show focuses on villains. Viewers of the television show will follow the schemes of Monarch, the corporation who serves as Jack’s main villain.

The video offers a small teaser of what players can expect from Quantum Break’s gameplay. Be sure to check out the gameplay teaser below.

Quick Take

2015 is looking to be a busy year of high profile exclusives for both Microsoft and Sony. With The Order: 1886 and Quantum Break moving into next year, many are wondering what the two companies are going to have in store for the remainder of 2014. If anything, it’s quite disappointing that Quantum Break won’t make an appearance until Gamescom.
