PS Plus Free Games Games for December

/ Nov 26th, 2015 No Comments

King's Quest

Sony offers a wide range of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download every month. The company has announced what games will be available for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita owners starting in December.

PS4 owners will be able to download Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and King’s Quest Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember. Gauntlet is an updated version of the classic series, throwing players into monster-packed dungeons. Cooperative play is supported in the quest for more gold and better weapons. A Knight to Remember is the first chapter in the new King’s Quest series. The game tells the story of King Graham as he recounts his journey to become a knight of Daventry.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will be available to download for PS3 owners. The game puts a wild 80s spin on Far Cry 3 infusing the open world shooter with a new story and neon lights. SSX is also available for download on PS3 for players who want a snowboarding fix for the cold months.

PS Plus continues to be beneficial for the underappreciated PS Vita. Freedom Wars was a highly anticipated Vita game before its release and now players will have the opportunity to see what the hype was about. Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is the second game Vita owners will be able to download in December.

Quick Take

Since the release of the PS4, PlayStation Plus hasn’t offered subscribers too many big name titles for Sony’s successful console, leaving those releases to the PS3. If Sony could find a way to work in backwards compatibility with PS3, PlayStation Plus would be invaluable. Despite that, the wealth of free games available across three platforms in addition to weekly discounts is a great benefit to the program.
