Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios announced Prey is receiving a new DLC called Mooncrash, which is available today.
Mooncrash is an “infinitely replayable” mode where enemies, loot, and objectives will be different during each replay. Players are tasked with escaping a TransStar base on the moon before Typhon aliens take over. Three new updates are also coming to the game: story mode, survival mode, and new game plus.
Arkane Studios also announced that a new mode, Typhon Hunter, will be available later this summer. The mode is a 5v1 game mode where five players disguise themselves as a mimic, which can turn into any object, while one other player hunts for them and tries to stay alive..
VR players will also be treated to Typhon Hunter in virtual reality and an exclusive single player experience where players take on the role of a TranStar employee.
Prey was originally released on May 5, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Mooncrash and the VR update will be upon release.
