Norwegian developer Henchman & Goon announced its co-op puzzler Pode releases next week on Nintendo Switch. It will be available for pre-order soon on the Nintendo eShop.
Pode sees a rock help a fallen star find its way home. As the two adorable protagonists, Bulder and Glo, venture out on a mystical journey through a magical mountain. As they explore the ruins of a long lost civilization the breathe life back into an ancient sleeping world.
Bulder and Glo will have to rely on each other’s unique abilities if they want to solve the puzzles and open up the hidden areas in the caverns of Mount Fjellheim. This co-op puzzler is built around the themes of friendship and cooperation with an emphasis on positive actions and a relaxing atmosphere. Pode draws inspiration from Norwegian art and culture to bring to life its imaginative world.
Grammy award winning composer Austin Wintory is composing the score for Pode. Whether playing by yourself or with a friend there is lot to do and see in Pode.
As part of Nintendo’s recent “Nindies” showcase, Henchman & Goon have been showing off Pode at different trade shows the last two months. Both press and public alike have given Pode plenty of positive and enthusiastic feedback. Pode won the development award for Best Casual Game, and was nominated for People’s Choice Awards and Beast Quality of Art at GameConnection 2018.
Pode releases June 21 on Nintendo Switch for $24.99.
Pode looks like a fun and adorable co-op game, which will make another great addition to the growing Nintendo Switch library. Games like Pode are so well suited for the Nintendo Switch’s unique capabilities that it makes it an easy sell. We can’t wait to check out the beautiful art, smart puzzle gameplay, and gorgeous music when Pode launches next week.
