PlayStation Plus March Update Adds Spec Ops and More for Members
Sony is doing things a little bit differently with their PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) updates this month. In the past, weekly updates would be announced for the PlayStation Store that would detail new releases, discounts and what content PS Plus subscribers would be getting. For the March update, a look was given at the big games that would be added to the Instant Game Collection. The five games to be added are Spec Ops: The Line, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, The Cave, Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention, and Tekken 6.
Joe Danger 2: The Movie is a side-scrolling stunt racer in a similar vein to the Trials series. Players will take Joe Danger through a series of thrilling rides as he performs stunts for a blockbuster movie. Using his trusty motorcycle, minecarts, jetpacks and more, players will navigate wild obstacles for the best scores. The final PS3 game that PS Plus subscribers will get is The Cave. The Cave follows a group of characters trying to fulfill their wishes as they go deeper into a mysterious talking cave. Full of puzzles and a quirky art style, The Cave is a good addition for players who want a solid co-op experience.
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention is a PS Vita remake of Disgaea 3 for the PS3. This entry in the long running strategy RPG series is a great companion to the portable nature of the Vita. It offers countless hours of content plus new features included just for the handheld version. Tekken 6 is actually a PSP game but can be supported on the PS Vita. The game features the largest roster in the series’ history along with online options, character customization and more.
March also continues the PS Vita Anniversary Sale that has been going on. This is the second week of the sale and includes such titles as Sine Mora, Retro City Rampage, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Orgarhythm. The games have a sale price plus an additional discount for PS Plus subscribers.
