What We Know about Platinum Games’ TMNT Game So Far

/ Jan 4th, 2016 No Comments

Platinum Games TMNT Game

While it has yet to be officially announced, it has been widely reported that Platinum Games is working on a game based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In November, a rating for TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan popped up on Australia’s Classification Board.

Activision is expected to publish the game while Platinum Games is handling development, according to the rating. A game with the same title was also rated by the Ministry of Justice in Brazil, adding that it will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Since then, not much has been revealed about the upcoming TMNT game. But now, a full achievement list has surfaced, suggesting the game isn’t far from being released.

According to xboxachievements.com, there are 50 achievements available, including:

  • Nice to meet you! – Play online at least once
  • Maniac – Obtain all Collectibles
  • On Top of Things – Climb to the highest point in Karai’s stage and do a little dance
  • Soooooaaaaap – Have all Turtles turn into zombies simultaneously by touching contaminated water
  • Hard Hitter – Defeat the 4 Krangdroids with your conventional weapons in Mega Krang’s stage
  • Sorry not Sorry – Have everyone perform a Communication Action during the snapshots when a boss is defeated
  • Grind the Grind – Grind rails for 300 feet
  • Next time, take a cab – Defeat Rocksteady and Bebop by letting them get run over by a train

The achievement list reveals TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan will have an online multiplayer — likely co-op — aspect. It also hints at some gameplay elements, such as collecting items and grinding rails.

In addition, some of the major TMNT enemies will make an appearance. Karai, the Krang, Wingnut and Rocksteady and Bebop are all specifically mentioned.

That’s all we know about the upcoming TMNT game from Platinum Games thus far, but an official unveiling from Activision should be expected soon.
