[adsense250itp]Ultimax is the first of the upcoming Persona games releasing in 2014-2015. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is the sequel to 2012’s Persona 4 Arena. It is developed by Arc System Works and published by Atlus U.S.A.
Each character in Ultimax has their own story mode continuing after the events of their original games. The game also expands past the systems of its predecessor by introducing a new Shadow type with different fighting mechanics for each character.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax sees the characters of Persona 4 and Persona 3 competing in the P-1 Climax. The original cast from Arena is back along with new characters. These new characters include Junpei Iori, Yukari Takeba, Rise Kujikawa and more. One of the biggest dangers in Ultimax is Sho Minazuki. The dual katana-wielding Sho is a threat to everyone in the tournament and worse there is a Sho doppelganger that wields a Persona.

The Persona blitz begins with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (although the original Japanese subtitle The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold was much better if not indecipherable). Persona 4 Arena was a good fighting game with a decidedly Persona approach to a story mode that made it more than worth checking out. Seeing more from both the Persona 4 Arena cast and these new fighters is more than welcomed. The biggest question about Ultimax is the addition of the character Sho. How does he fit into the Persona world? Is he a new character for Ultimax only or is he a bridge to Persona 5?
